United Summit Center is proud to be opening our new Monongalia office to provide behavioral health services to children and adults. United Summit Center offers a variety of services to assist individuals in our community that are in need of behavioral healthcare services.
We can provide our services to low and no-income consumers as we offer sliding scale and charity care funding. Our office is conveniently located in the Wes-Mon Plaza in Westover.
Here is a list of our services that we now provide in Monongalia County:
Individual Therapy – School and Office Based – This service focuses on exploring and helping resolve life problems and concerns as it relates to emotional and mental well-being. A trained therapist can help adults and children explore current thinking and behavioral patterns that inhibit personal life progression. Special Note: For children, this service can be provided in the school during the school year.
Pharmacological Management – This service is performed by our psychiatrist. It is available to adults and children with mental health or behavioral issues that need prescription medication to assist with their treatment. This service is combined with individual therapy to provide a well-rounded treatment team to assist with concerns.
Case Management – This service is designed to assist adults, children, and their families to gain access to needed medical, behavioral health, social, education, and other services. Case managers can advocate for their clients to ensure appropriate services are rendered. They are trained to assess and link their clients to appropriate services.
To Make a Referral: Call 304-241-1708 to make a referral for services. All services are voluntary. Please note that parent or guardian consent must be obtained before a child can receive services.
Privacy: All services through United Summit Center are confidential, and all reasonable efforts will be made to protect the privacy of our clients.

There are hundreds of support groups for people with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis throughout the country. Each year, CCFA’s more than 40 local chapters hold more than 300 support groups, where patients and family members can connect to others living with these diseases.
Crohn’s and colitis support group meetings are often intimate gatherings where patients and their loved ones can share their stories, seek emotional support, find answers to their questions, and connect with a community who share their challenges.
In addition to these focused sessions, support groups often organize informal, social events like picnics and luncheons, community volunteer days, informational workshops, family outings, and attend gala events.
Find a support group near you by searching by state or ZIP code, or select your state on the map below to see a list of all Crohn’s and colitis support groups in your state.
Interested in peer-to-peer support? Not finding a support group in your area? Contact your local chapter about Power of 2. Power of 2 is a peer-to-peer support program for individuals seeking to talk by phone, email or skype to other patients or caregivers with IBD. To learn more about the program or to see if your chapter is participating visit local CCFA chapter.
CCFA also offers an Online Community where you can get the support you need in managing your condition 24/7. Participate in discussion boards, personal stories, submit questions and more. The Community also offers a live online support group program where you can connect with your peers over four weekly chat sessions that are guided by various IBD topics. Learn more and register for an upcoming session!
